Windbreak Cafe Hotel - Wasilla

I loved the affordable rates at Windbreak Cafe. The restaurant below served delicious food that really hit the spot after a long day. The upstairs staff were really nice when my car wouldn't start in the freezing cold-they jumped my battery without a second thought! Unfortunately, my room had several issues. The bed felt super hard, and the pillows were pretty flat. I could also hear noise from slamming doors and chatter from other guests late at night. The air conditioning seemed to be bringing in hot air from outside, made the room quite warm. A little upgrade in the room's amenities would go a long way, especially concerning comfort. The atmosphere, especially with music starting early on Sunday, wasn't great for sleeping in either.

i had an enjoyable stay. fairly clean hotel, services were great and location was good in the middle of jackson. location: the property was near to a great restaurant and bar on the other side as well as the cafe. dessert restaurant cold stone creamery located 1 mi away was a nice surprise. the bed was comfy and the room overall was spotlessly clean. all of the staff was amicable and accommodating.

My room included television, a dining area and a writing table. A tub in the private bathroom was a plus...

The restaurant's themed dinner nights are a fun touch. The hard bed and noisy guests made sleep difficult.

We loved the cozy atmosphere and enjoyed the delicious breakfast offerings. The kids had a great time exploring the nearby park while we relaxed on the patio. We stayed with 5 kids, and the spacious dining area made mealtime enjoyable.

In my wife's opinion, more family-friendly activities would be great.

the bathroom could use some updating, but the food was delicious, huge portions, and the staff went above and beyond to help. they made sure we felt welcome and the atmosphere was super chill.

This place suits me perfectly, offering free Wi-Fi in public areas, a bar/lounge area, and a restaurant. The staff helped me with a local taxi number during my first stay. I recommend checking it out!

This place was a great match for a city break in Wasilla with high value for money. The super nice team, even giving me extra towels when I asked. Be ready for some noise from the bar below on weekend nights.

Stayed in a Queen Room for 3 nights. The bed was super hard, and the pillows were flat, like seriously, I could barely get comfy. The noise from slamming doors and late-night chatter from other guests was pretty annoying too. But the housekeeper was awesome-hooked us up with extra pillows and towels. Definitely needs some upgrades though!

We enjoyed the affordable rates and were impressed by the delicious food served at the restaurants below. The staff were helpful, especially when our car wouldn't start in the freezing cold. They jumped our battery without a second thought! The noisy atmosphere from the music above was disruptive, especially in the mornings.
